Firestone Walker to cut emissions with $7.3 million grant

This funding is part of a broader $33 million initiative supporting nine projects across seven states aimed at advancing concentrating solar-thermal (CST) technologies.
Two local boxers win at state championship
– Local youth boxers Caiden Perez and JJ Subia recently earned titles at the 2024 Southern California State Amateur Boxing Championships, which was held in Perris from July 12 to 15. Both boxers train at the Goat Shack Boxing Club in Paso Robles, which opened in January 2023. Subia, who is 21 years old, is also the owner of the club.

‘Our district is facing significant budget cuts,’ Jennifer Loftus says. – The new Paso Robles Joint Unified School District (PRJUSD) superintendent, Jennifer Loftus, is a Paso Robles High School (PRHS) graduate with over 26 years of experience in the education field. She was approved by the PRJUSD Board of Trustees in April 2024 and started her duties in July.

– Parchetto (Park-ett-o), Italian for “Little Park,” is Paso Robles’ newest downtown restaurant by the culinary team Carole and Santos MacDonal. After 15 years of owning and operating Il Cortile, the duo was inspired to bring another restaurant concept to the heart of Paso Robles.
