Woman Dies After Tragic Car Accident In Anne Arundel County
FRIENDSHIP, Md. – A single-vehicle accident on the night of July 14, 2024, claimed the life of a District Heights woman and seriously injured a man. Emergency personnel responded to a crash on Friendship Road near Fairhaven Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. Upon investigation, it was revealed that a 2020 Nissan Versa was traveling at high speed when the driver failed to handle a left-hand curve. The vehicle veered off the road, ascended an embankment, struck multiple trees, and overturned in a ditch with two occupants injured.
Pilot killed in small plane crash in Easton identified
EASTON, Md. — Emergency rescue crews responded to the area of the Tred Avon River in Easton for a small plane crash Tuesday morning. The pilot, identified as 56-year-old Robert Eugene Merlini from Annapolis, has since died. Merlini was the only person onboard when the small plane crashed in the Tred Avon River.
