PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Severe storms blasted through central Illinois on July 15, bringing widespread damaging wind, heavy rain and tornadoes to the region. Observed thunderstorm winds reached over 100 mph in a few locations, both a result of straight-line winds and tornadoes.
