Detectives catch woman attempting to deposit 2 fraudulent checks at an Anderson County bank
ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. — The Anderson County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday the arrest of a woman for forgery and financial credit card theft. On June 29, deputies with ACSO responded to a forgery in progress after a woman attempted to deposit two fraudulent checks at a bank on South Main Street in Anderson, South Carolina. The bank realized this was not the woman's first attempt at deception.

Missing Person’s Vehicle Found in Clemson
Victor Birchfield, 61, from Carter County, Tennessee, located near Johnson City, TN, has been reported missing. Officials said his vehicle was spotted in Clemson. Law enforcement agencies in both states are collaborating on the investigation. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert on June 22 for Birchfield, last seen on June 19. He was wearing an orange t-shirt, grey basketball shorts, leather shoes, and black socks. Birchfield is believed to be driving a silver 2003 Toyota 4Runner with rear damage, Tennessee license plate TN 070-BKZV. Seneca Man Arrested for Unauthorized Practice of Law and Forgery Charges
Nathan Lee Chambers, a 30-year-old from Seneca, was arrested this past Wednesday by state police on multiple charges, including unauthorized practice of law, forgery, and misrepresentation of being a lawyer. Chambers, who allegedly filed legal documents and motions on behalf of a criminal defendant between June 4 and November 14, 2023, without being a member of the South Carolina Bar, was booked into the Greenville Detention Center, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. According to jail records, he appears to be out on bond.
