Clemson Tigers News: Aubrie Eisfeld, new ACC members, Josh Paino
Yesterday, we noted that Clemson Women’s Lacrosse had received a major commitment from Alexa Spallina, the number one ranked prospect by Inside Lacrosse. It turns out that head coach Alison Kwolek had more in store for us. On Sunday, it became public that 5-star prospect Aubrie Eisfeld was also flipping her verbal commitment from Syracuse to the Tigers. Eisfeld is the club teammate of Spallina. The Tigers now have three of Inside Lacrosse’s top ten recruits for the Class of 2025. Very excited for this amazing opportunity both academically and athletically. Thank you to @clemsonwlax and those who made this...

After flipping the commitment of the No. 1 player in the 2025 class, Alexa Spallina, from Syracuse to Clemson, the Tigers have flipped another 5-star recruit from the Orange. Eisfeld is currently the No. 6 overall player in the class, making this already stacked Clemson recruiting class that much more stacked. Head coach Allison Kwolek has been on fire lately recruiting, with the program trending in the right direction. As reported by Inside Lacrosse, Eisfeld initially committed to Kayla Treanor and the Syracuse Orange on September 19. Hailing from Bayport-Blue Point High School in New York, Eisfeld is a talented midfielder. Clemson’s Turn To Present a Motion To Dismiss
If this feels all too familiar, it should. A member school of the Atlantic Coast Conference in court with its lawyers arguing against those representing the conference. Whether it is FSU v. ACC, Clemson v. ACC, The ACC v. Florida State, or The ACC v. Clemson, it is like “déjà vu all over again, to paraphrase the great social philosopher Yogi Berra. It was Clemson’s turn to present a motion to dismiss a lawsuit on Tuesday.
Clemson loses 4-star cornerback target to rivals Florida State
On Sunday, Clemson missed out on one of its top cornerback prospects. Four-star recruit Gregory “Zae” Thomas committed to ACC rival Florida State. Thomas had narrowed his choices down to Clemson and Florida State, ultimately choosing the Seminoles. Thomas received his offer from Clemson in April after an unofficial visit and returned for an official visit in early June. Although some recruiting services list him as a safety, Clemson saw his potential as a cornerback. He is ranked as the No. 190 player overall and No. 23 in Florida. Florida State had been the frontrunner in Thomas’s recruitment, partly due to their defensive backs coach, Patrick Surtain Sr., who coached Thomas in high school. This connection gave the Seminoles an edge in securing Thomas’s commitment. Clemson will look elsewhere to continue to bolster their secondary in the 2025 recruiting class.
