Penn State’s Board of Trustees has voted to name the university’s graduate program the J. Jeffery and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School after Jeff and Ann Marie Fox donated $20 million to the university.

The gift to the graduate school, which hosts 13,000 students across 300 degrees, was the largest in its history. The endowment will offer student support with an emphasis on military members and families and will fund innovative programming.

“We chose to name the Fox Graduate School because we believe that our shared future will be shaped by the scientists, scholars, and leaders in every discipline who pursue advanced studies and prepare for successful careers at Penn State,” the donors said in a release . “We see our gift as an investment in the world that they will create, and we will take the greatest pride in their professional achievements and the academic reputation of the Fox Graduate School that they will carry forward into their careers.”

More than 100 years old, Penn State’s graduate school is one of the largest of its kind and awards 4,500 degrees annually. The school joins five other Penn State colleges that are named after donors.
