UPDATE: Final arraignment hearing for Hallfords scheduled

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The arraignment hearing for Jon and Carie Hallford has been pushed back to Sept. 20 at 1:30 p.m. to give time for the Hallfords to review the recent plea offer from the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

On Thursday, July 11, at 8:30 a.m., Jon and Carie Hallford, the owners of the Return to Nature Funeral Home in Penrose, where nearly 200 bodies were found improperly stored, are expected to return to court.

The Hallfords are facing over 200 charges related to the improperly stored bodies along with alleged money laundering, theft, and forgery.

Recently FOX21 received an email shared by victims from the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office that the Hallfords were offered plea deals in the case but are expected to enter not-guilty pleas at the Arraignment Hearing on Thursday.
