Pensacola Sports sets free kids’ soccer clinics this week

PENSACOLA, Fla. ( WKRG ) — Pensacola Sports is offering free soccer clinics for children ages 5-12 this week.

The clinics will occur Tuesday, July 16, through Thursday, July 18, at Brent Raiders Football Field, 501 Yoakum Ct, in Pensacola.

LOCATION:

The 5-8-year-old age group will check in from 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. each day, and instruction will run from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m.

The 9-12-year-old age group will check in from 10:15 to 10:30 a.m., and the instruction period will take place from 10:30 a.m. through noon.

“The clinics are designed to kickstart interest in soccer in kids who have never been exposed to the sport or have not had a chance to gain formal instruction in the sport, all while providing a healthy and safe outlet for free time during the summer,” a news release from Pensacola Sports said.

Participants must bring cleats or tennis shoes to play, as open-toed shoes are not allowed. Sunscreen is also encouraged.
