Garfield National Historic Site to host two naturalization ceremonies
The National Park Service staff of James A. Garfield National Historic Site recently announced that it will host two naturalization ceremonies this summer. The first is July 12; the second will be Sept. 13. Both ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. on the grounds of the Garfield National Historic Site, 8095 Mentor Ave., in Mentor. The public is invited to attend and see 25-30 people from across the globe become American citizens, according to a news release.

Local businesses and organizations are invited to participate in the Mentor CityFest parade on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM. The parade will begin at Shore Middle School, located at 5730 Hopkins Road, head south on Hopkins Road to Center Street, east on Civic Center Boulevard, and end at Mentor Civic Amphitheater, located at 8600 Munson Road.
