    Man Charged After Allegedly Holding Two Women Against Their Will in Petersburg

    Petersburg, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A man has been charged with abduction after police say two women being held against their will were found in an apartment in Petersburg.

    Petersburg Police were called to the 40 block of Ivy Lane at 1:14 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22 for a report of two women being held against their will in an apartment.

    When officers arrived at the scene, they spoke with the women and were able to help them exit the building safely.

    Police were advised that the suspect had a gun, at which point assistance was requested from Virginia State Police. Officials entered the apartment and found the suspect, Quantaey McDonald, hiding inside.

    Police said McDonald was taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with two counts of abduction and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
