The NFL crew at A to Z Sports went through all 32 teams and selected a potential surprise cut candidate .

For the Philadelphia Eagles, A to Sports pinned cornerback James Bradberry, pointing to the fact that the franchise clearly wants younger talent in their secondary:

The Eagles didn’t hesitate to draft back-to-back corners in the 2024 NFL Draft, Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean . Now they have 15 of them heading into July training camp. That’s an obvious sign that the Eagles have little to no faith in Bradberry, who struggled last year. If he doesn’t have an eye-popping training camp and beat out these rookies, then don’t be surprised if the Eagles let him go, even if it means eating some money.

Bradberry, who will be 31 at the start of this season, is no longer the same corner he once was and that became blatantly clear last fall. He allowed an NFL-high 11 touchdown passes in 2023 and had one of the worst defensive passer ratings among all cornerbacks in the NFL.

On top of his poor performance last year, the Eagles' cornerback room has gotten way too crowded with 15 on the roster.

Several reports have already said that rookies Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean have been catching on quickly, and Isaiah Rodgers and Kelee Ringo looked solid this spring.

Sure, Bradberry isn't too far removed from his 2022 All-Pro season, but the Eagles can't afford to risk another year with him playing the way he did last year.

At what seemed like a last resort for him, the Eagles even attempted to move Bradberry to safety during mandatory minicamp, but he was immediately hurt -- putting a stop to that plan for now.

Trading Bradberry would be the best-case scenario for the Eagles, but at this point, it sounds like they could be en route to just releasing him in order to make room for younger and better talent.

So, don't be surprised if it happens.
