PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who robbed and shot a man at a Kensington convenience store earlier this month, critically injuring him. Officials released surveillance video, hoping the public could help identify him.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. on July 12 at a convenience store on Kensington Avenue, near Clearfield Street.

The footage shows the suspect riding a blue Trek bike to the shop and walking in, armed with a gun in his hand. He held the gun up to the 31-year-old victim’s head, then took a strapped bag that he was holding. The victim was sitting in front of a gambling machine.

Police said the victim confronted the suspect outside and was shot in the neck. The suspect rode off on his bike.

The victim remains in critical condition.
