Police are investigating a body that was found in the Delaware River.

Police report this happened in Torresdale, near the Lunden Avenue boat ramp.

Officers responded around 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, and said they recovered the body of a man in his 40’s. They suspect foul play.

“The way we found the body and what we found on the body was definitely very suspicious when it comes to a drowning,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, the man was an avid fisherman. We are expecting autopsy results later today.
