Details of Jason Kelce's Potential New NFL Role Revealed

Details about former Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce’s potential new role in the NFL emerged on Tuesday.

Howie Roseman shared on the " Up and Adams Show" that he would love to have Jason Kelce back with the team. Although Kelce appears to be firmly retired from playing, Roseman isn’t ready to give up on the idea of bringing him back in another capacity.

While head coach Nick Sirianni once tried to persuade Kelce to return with kegs of beer, Roseman is looking at a different approach.

Instead of a comeback as a player, Roseman wants Kelce to join the team as a scout for their personnel department.

"I think Jason would be good at anything in football," Roseman said. "He's a heck of an evaluator. I told him to come work for me because he can evaluate players."

At first, Adams thought Roseman might be joking, but Roseman was adamant that he was serious.

He recalled how Kelce had previously assisted him, even during his playing days.

“I’m not joking,” Roseman said. “In the (2022) draft, I gave him a few centers that we liked, and he came out and said, 'I like Cam Jurgens.'”

The Eagles ended up drafting Jurgens, who has performed impressively, making the Pro Bowl in just his second year.

Jurgens is set to replace Kelce at center this season, benefiting from the mentorship he received from him.

The NFL always seems to be better when Jason Kelce is involved, so even if he’s not playing, having him back as a scout could be just as exciting for the league.
