The Philadelphia Phillies have seen some of their lead for the NL East slip away over the past week of baseball as the team has fallen into a six game losing streak. The team will look to change that on Sunday as they look to avoid the sweep from the Seattle Mariners in the series finale for their first of three stops out west.

Sunday, August 4th: Zack Wheeler vs. Logan Gilbert

The Phillies will go with Zack Wheeler (10-5, 2.94 ERA) to break the slump for the team. Wheeler himself could also use a bounce back after a tough start last time out against the New York Yankees. In his last outing, Wheeler allowed seven runs to score off seven hits, three of which were homers. He also walked three batters in his five innings of work.

The Mariners will look to Logan Gilbert (6-7, 3.11 ERA) for the sweep on Sunday against the Phillies. However, like Wheeler, Gilbert is also coming off a horrendous start last time out against the Boston Red Sox. Gilbert allowed seven runs to score in only 2.2 innings of work.
