On Sunday afternoon, Caitlin Clark and Diana Taurasi will face off for the first time ever in a highly-anticipated matchup between the Indiana Fever and Phoenix Mercury.

Earlier this week, Mercury head coach Nate Tibbetts was asked about this upcoming matchup against the WNBA's No. 1 overall pick.

Tibbetts admitted there will be a "different vibe" when Clark enters Phoenix's Footprint Center.

"The crowd Sunday will have a certain feel to it, but I've just been absolutely amazed by our crowds through the first eight games at home," Tibbetts said. "... They'll be a different vibe on Sunday, but what the Phoenix people have done, come out and support us, has been absolutely amazing.

Taurasi made waves around the basketball world earlier this year when she suggested Clark was in for a rude awakening at the WNBA level. Since then, fans have marked their calendars with this highly-anticipated matchup.
