Caitlin Clark's Honest Review Of Diana Taurasi's WNBA Career

Caitlin Clark and Diana Taurasi will face Sunday for their first WNBA matchup as the Indiana Fever travel to play the Phoenix Mercury. Clark spoke on Taurasi's greatness, sharing her honest take on the Mercury star's WNBA career.

"It's incredible. Like I said, I don't think people realize how hard that is to do, and obviously, she's done everything that she's needed to do to continue to play at such a high level... It's incredible to think she's been in this league for 20 years. That's just super cool. It's a feat that not a lot of people will ever accomplish in her career," said Clark via Desert Wave Media on X.

Clark had one word in describing Taurasi's career: incredible. Taurasi has defied Father Time, playing at a high level for 20 years. At 42 years old, the five-time Olympic gold medalist is averaging 16.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Clark may be early into her career, but she's considered one of the league's most-talented players. The rookie out of Iowa is currently averaging 16.2 points and 6.6 assists through 19 games.

As Fever head coach Christie Sides has explained, Clark has struggled in the efficiency and turnover categories, but with time and experience, the first-year star should blossom into a comfortable role.

Clark believes Taurasi's career is "incredible," and even mentioned that she idolized the Phoenix superstar when she was younger. If she's able to walk in the footsteps that Taurasi has paved, Clark could be looking at an extremely successful WNBA career.
