Jamie Foxx offered more details about the mysterious illness that landed him in the hospital last year.

“Look, April 11 last year, bad headache, asked my boy for an Advil. I was gone for 20 days,” he said in a video circulating on X (formerly Twitter).

“I don’t remember anything,” the Oscar winner recalled. “I’m in Atlanta, they told me… my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor. They gave me a cortisone shot.”

“The next doctor said, ‘There’s something going on up there,'” Foxx added, pointing to his head. “I won’t say it on camera. But it was…”

Foxx was hospitalized on April 11, 2023, after he reportedly suffered a “medical complication” while filming the Netflix action comedy “Back in Action” in Atlanta.

His daughter Corinne Foxx, 30, shared a statement on her Instagram Story the next day.

“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne said. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Later that month, it was revealed that Foxx was “awake and alert,” while doctors attempted to ascertain what happened to him.

Several conspiracy theories circulated, including that the COVID-19 vaccine caused Foxx’s hospitalization.

The “Ray” star immediately shot that down, saying it was “completely inaccurate.”

Foxx issued his first statement after his hospitalization on May 3, 2023, thanking his fans for their love and support.

He later addressed the “hellish” experience he went through in an emotional Instagram video last July.

“I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear an update, but to be honest with you, I didn’t want you to see me like that, man,” Foxx said with tears in his eyes. “I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.”

Foxx didn’t disclose his illness but did say he was finally “on the road to recovery.”

He also clarified that his eyes work “just fine,” proving that he’s “not paralyzed.”

Foxx and his “Back in Action” co-star Cameron Diaz resumed filming in January after a body double temporarily took over for him.

A source told People later that month that Foxx “looks and feels fantastic.”

The insider added: “For Jamie, the show must go on and he has always been eager to see this project completed. Jamie is super talented and loves his work. He will finish this film.”

The movie is set to be released by Netflix on November 15.
