Caitlin Clark's Misunderstanding With Mercury Star Is Blowing Up Online
By Angelo Guinhawa,

Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark and Phoenix Mercury star Kahleah Copper went viral after a video of their on-court "misunderstanding" surfaced online.
At one point during their Sunday game, Copper fouled Clark while the Fever star was trying to get past the Mercury guard's defense. Clark proceeded to still take a shot, and when the ball bounced back and headed towards Copper, the rookie sharpshooter deflected it but accidentally hit the WNBA All-Star.
To Copper's point of view since she was facing backwards and walking away from the rim, it looked like Clark hit her. She was clearly disappointed at the youngster and appeared to share some words before her teammates held her back.
Upon realizing what happened , though, Copper went and talked to Clark moments later, perhaps to apologize over what happened.
Sure enough, the moment has since blown up online, with fans loving the respect that both players showed during the moment.
"There was so much respect coming from both teams in this game!! Love to see it," sports media personality Rachel DeMita wrote.
"She thought Caitlin tapped her and when she found out what happened, she apologized. Good sportsmanship. Y'all are such drama queens," a commenter added, referring to the critics who didn't understand what happened.
"After watching the game this seems like the first team with vets to show Caitlin respect," another fan said,
A supported furthered, "At least she came up and apologized to her."

It's definitely a pretty cool moment between Caitlin Clark and Kahleah Copper. Hopefully, amid the intense competition, fans get to see more displays of respect from teams in the WNBA.
