Caitlin Clark is embarking on her first WNBA All-Star Weekend journey in Phoenix, Arizona, which began with the Orange Carpet event on Thursday and will end with the All-Star game on Saturday night.

After the WNBA All-Star game, the entire league, excluding Team USA, will go through a month-long break, with the 2024 Paris Olympics right around the corner.

On Friday, during the WNBA All-Star media availability, Clark admitted that she will feel "uncomfortable" during the upcoming Olympic break.

"I mean I've been playing basketball for a year straight... I'll probably feel a little uncomfortable not touching a basketball for like a week or so," Clark said. "But I know that's going to be the healthiest thing for myself... It's going to be good for me to get away from everything and just almost reflect and soak everything in."

For Clark, this will be her longest time away from basketball in nearly a year. After her Iowa Hawkeyes career ended with the NCAAW national championship loss in early April, Clark jumped straight into training camp with the Indiana Fever after being selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Since November, Clark has played in a combined 66 games: 46 with Iowa and 26 with Indiana. Not to mention the preseason games, ongoing practices, and the constant media attention. She's due for some rest.
