Warning: The TriKB Triathlon on July 28 will impact traffic on Crandon and the Rickenbacker
Officials with The TriKB Triathlon are warning area residents that the July 28 triathlon will disrupt traffic on the island, and they should plan accordingly. The event will start at 7 a.m. at Crandon Park with an ocean swim, followed by a bike ride along northbound Crandon Boulevard and westbound Rickenbacker Causeway.
Gray’s 4-hit game leads Antigo-Polar to slugfest win
The Antigo-Polar Bears got back on the winning track in Badger Amateur Baseball Association play Sunday, edging Hatley in a 9-8 slugfest. Mason Gray led Antigo-Polar’s 12-hit attack with a 4-for-5 game, including two doubles. A.J. Kirsch and Wellington Rivera added two hits each. Hatley pounded out 10 hits, led by Nick Cotter, Braxton Olson and Kodie Kocher with two each.
44th Annual Antigo Tater Trot
Race directors are preparing for the 44th annual 10-kilometer Tater Trot which will take place Saturday (August 10) at City Park in Antigo. In addition to the 10k run, individuals of all ages may also participate in the 2k fun or the 6k walk/run. The 2k run starts at 8:30am and is followed by the 10k run at 9:00am and 6k walk/run at 9:05am.
