Championship spotter and Bristol native Bob Jeffrey passes away after cancer battle
Bob Jeffrey, a championship spotter in both the NASCAR Cup Series and the Indy Car Series, passed away after battling cancer. Bob was a native of Bristol and attended Tennessee High before his family moved to West Virginia before his senior year of high school. He returned to the area to pursue a career in racing, working for Henderson Motorsports and Ed Whitaker Racing as a tire changer.
