Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton attends Whisper Aero ribbon cutting
Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, Crossville Mayor RJ Crawford and House Speaker Cameron Sexton joined Whisper Aero Co-founders, Mark Moore and Ian Villa, for the official ribbon cutting of Whisper Aero’s Flight Test Center. Construction on the 8,000 square foot hangar at the Crossville Memorial Airport began last July. The new facility was made possible through a $1.2 million appropriation from the State of Tennessee and features a high bay area for testing and office space for onsite engineering.
City council approves twenty-five water taps for new subdivision
During July’s Town of Mountain City council meeting, board members approved twenty-five water taps for the Eagle Ridge subdivision. Representatives from the Waterfront Group presented a memorandum of use (MOU) for council review just last month.

Maynardville Food City to celebrate remodeling reopening in late July with special deals
MAYNARDVILLE, Tenn. — One of Maynardville's only grocery stores will soon celebrate its official reopening after it received a fresh look and several new services. Food City has wrapped up remodeling work at the Maynardville location off Main Street. The finished store now features an additional 9,200 square feet of room, adding space for a new Starbucks cafe, an updated food service area and an enlarged floral department. It also includes expansions to several grocery departments, including meat, seafood, produce, dairy, and more.
