Blount Memorial Hospital could soon become part of South Carolina’s largest hospital system, Prisma Health. The move would mark the culmination of months of talks with hospital systems on affiliation and is meant to bolster the hospital’s prospects going forward. Driver receives life-threatning injuries in John B. Dennis Highway crash
A 25-year-old Kingsport man sustained life-threatening injuries when his hatchback caught fire after hitting a tree below South John B. Dennis Highway early Friday. The preliminary report said the driver identified as Noah Pence struck the railing then collided with an SUV when he over corrected, sending his car over the hill and into a tree, igniting the vehicle . The SUV driver was not injured.
