Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton attends Whisper Aero ribbon cutting
Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, Crossville Mayor RJ Crawford and House Speaker Cameron Sexton joined Whisper Aero Co-founders, Mark Moore and Ian Villa, for the official ribbon cutting of Whisper Aero’s Flight Test Center. Construction on the 8,000 square foot hangar at the Crossville Memorial Airport began last July. The new facility was made possible through a $1.2 million appropriation from the State of Tennessee and features a high bay area for testing and office space for onsite engineering.

Residents of Oak Ridge, please take note: tax season is upon you. Property tax statements have been dispatched and should be landing in mailboxes throughout the month. According to the City of Oak Ridge's recent alert, these statements are sent to the homeowner's address currently on file with the State of Tennessee as of January 1. However, if a statement is not received by July 31, homeowners are advised to get proactive about their taxes.

Blount Memorial Hospital could soon become part of South Carolina’s largest hospital system, Prisma Health. The move would mark the culmination of months of talks with hospital systems on affiliation and is meant to bolster the hospital’s prospects going forward.
