Batters Up Contest Hosted by Piscataway Elks Lodge 2414

PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Piscataway Elks Lodge #2414 swung into action and hosted the Elks Central District Batters Up competition at the Piscataway Little League Complex on Saturday, July 13.

The Batters Up Contest is a hitting contest open to boys and girls ages 5-15 and is free. Girls have the option to hit softballs or baseballs.

This contest was the Semi Finals for the winners of the individual lodge contests to determine who will proceed to the State Finals to be held August 17th at Deerwood Park, Howell, NJ.

The Central District consists of Elks Lodges from Carteret, Colonia, East Brunswick, Edison, Metuchen, New Brunswick, Piscataway, South Amboy, South Plainfield, Watchung Hills and Woodbridge.

The winners from Piscataway advancing to the NJ Elks State Batters Up Contest are Jace Payano, 5-6 year old boy and Isabella Huffsmith, 7-8 year old girl. The other 1st place winners advancing are from Edison, Metuchen and South Plainfield.

Piscataway Elks Lodge #2414 will also be hosting a local Soccer Shoot to be held in September and a Hoop Shoot in late November/early December. More information to
