    Three arrested after search warrant yields seizure of 1K fentanyl pills

    PITTSBURG, Kan. (KOAM) - Today, June 26, 2024, the Pittsburg Police Department, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation conducted the execution of drug search warrants at four locations in Pittsburg.

    According to authorities, the search warrants were targeted at 405 W 5th Street, 506 W 4th Street, 2107 Timber Lane, and 512 W 4th Street as part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and counterfeit fentanyl pills.

    According to authorities, three people were arrested and taken to Crawford County Jail.

    Arrests and Charges

    • Lachelle Ranee Ann Hinman, 26, of Parsons

      • Arrested for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant out of Pittsburg Municipal Court.
      • Released on a $349.00 cash bond.
    • Casey Lee Gibson, 48

      • Arrested for felony distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of school property, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
      • Currently held without bond.
    • Dmitri Alexander Stamm, 25, of Pittsburg

      • Arrested for felony distribution of narcotics within 1,000 feet of school property, felony possession of narcotics, felony possession of stolen property (vehicle), and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
      • Also had an outstanding warrant for probation violation from a 2021 distribution case in Linn County, Kansas.
      • Currently held without bond.

    While in custody at the jail, Mr. Stamm was found to be in possession of suspected fentanyl pills. Additional charges related to this discovery are anticipated to be requested by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. In total, the investigation has led to the recovery of nearly 1,000 suspected fentanyl pills.
