Three WRs that are currently unavailable but could easily be Pittsburgh Steelers come Week 1

The Pittsburgh Steelers are still without a bonified option at WR opposite of George Pickens.
Relying on third-round rookie Roman Wilson isn’t fair to him or the team, and while the trade rumors are flying , nothing is imminent.
So with training camp on the horizon, and NFL free agency 2.0 gearing up after, here are three WRs that could be cut from their current team, and land on the Steelers roster.
WR Mack Hollins
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports
The Bills signed Hollins to a one-year deal worth $2.6 million this offseason, but only $1.1 million is guaranteed. With all the other moves they’ve made such as signing Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Curtis Samuel, as well as drafting Keon Coleman, where does Hollins fall in the depth chart? Buffalo also signed Chase Claypool, who has a higher ceiling and is much more versatile if used properly. The Bills can actually save close to $2 million against the cap this season if they cut Hollins, who had just 18 catches a season ago. - Bills writer Jarrett Bailey
Not only does Hollins have familiarity with OC Arthur Smith, but he’s a physical presence on the perimeter. While playing for the Raiders, Hollins wasn’t short on explosive plays, where he either recorded or tied career highs in receptions, receiving yards, and TDs.
It takes time for players to get up to speed with a new scheme after they spent months if not years in another, but just months removed from his time in Atlanta, Hollins would be able to contribute early.
WR Robert Woods
Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports
Woods may be an established veteran and a presence needed in a youthful WR corps, but following the acquisition of Stefon Diggs, his role may be obsolete. The team is obviously headlined by the trio of Diggs, Tank Dell, and Nico Collins, but they also have great depth with John Metchie III, Noah Brown and Ben Skowronek, all looking to take Woods’ spot. - Texans contributor Rob Gregson
Woods, while a tad long in the tooth, has the best resume of any WR on A to Z Sports list of potential cut candidates . He also fits the veteran and route running role that is foreign to Pittsburgh’s current WR corps.
The recently turned 32-year-old won't light up the stat sheet, but he's proven to do more with his opportunities than the rest of the depth chart in Pittsburgh , making him at least intriguing if he hits the market after training camp.
WR Juju Smith-Schuster
Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports
The veteran receiver did not impress in his first year in New England during the 2023 season. While he has claimed that he is fully healthy and ready to go, the patriots wide receiver room is very competitive which a lot of young guys starting to show themselves. I’ve had Smith-Schuster as a trade candidate because of his contract, but if it comes down to it, the team isn’t going to keep him if he can’t bring what they need. - Patriots beat writer Sophie Weller
A reunion! While unlikely to happen, adding Juju would generate both fodder and production in my opinion. Smith-Schuster is still only 27 year old, and while he struggled in one of the worst offenses in the league last year (who wouldn't) his pre-New England tenure ended with a Super Bowl ring as the leading WR for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022.
I think there is still plenty of gas left in that tank.
