Top-ranked pizzeria moving from White Oak to Regent Square

A top pizzeria in the Pittsburgh area is moving closer to the city.

Rockaway Pizzeria in on Lincoln Way in White Oak is moving into the former Square Café in Regent Square.

Regent Square includes sections of Pittsburgh, Edgewood, Swissvale and Wilkinsburg.

The Post-Gazette report the move will happen in late fall or early winter.

Finishing in the top 5 of 100.7 Star’s Best Pizza in Pittsburgh contest earlier this year, Rockaway came in 3rd.

Bubba of Star tells KDKA Radio Rockaway deserved its place with one of the best pizza’s the judges tasted that day.

Rockaway offers appetizers, round and Sicilian style pizzas, salads, calzones, hoagies and more.

The pizzeria is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., closed Sunday and Monday.
