Downtown Pittsburgh restaurant hit with Consumer Alert

A Consumer Alert has been issued for a restaurant in Downtown Pittsburgh.

No. 1 Sushi Sushi on the 400 block of Market Street, was hit with five total violations during an inspection on July 25.

Packaged salmon was temped between 44 to 46 degrees in a basement refrigerator. The safe cold holding temperature is 41 degrees.

Romaine lettuce was in a three-bowl sink, temped at 60 degrees, two planks of white fish was at 55 degrees in a display case and multiple “TCS” foods were at 45 degrees.

All of that food was thrown away.

Several holding areas including a display case and refrigerators were at 50 degrees or higher.

And, no probe food thermometer was on site.

The Consumer Alert is still active as of July 26.
