The Pittsburgh Steelers made a pair of roster moves on Thursday, one of which was the re-signing of veteran edge rusher Markus Golden.

The team announced it has signed Golden to a one-year deal, but the financial terms of the contract were not immediately disclosed. To make room on the roster, Pittsburgh waived linebacker David Perales with an injury designation.

Golden spent the 2023 campaign with the Steelers, appearing in 16 games. He tallied four sacks and 20 combined tackles over his first season with Pittsburgh in just 230 defensive snaps. Over the course of his career, the 33-year-old has broken double-digit sacks three times, with the last time coming in 2021 with Arizona.

Golden has already joined the team and is taking part in Thursday's practice. He's currently wearing No. 91.

The Steelers saw a pair of injuries to linebackers on Wednesday.

Along with Perales, who has an unspecified knee injury, Kyron Johnson also got banged-up and is dealing with a hamstring issue. Perales will likely revert back to injured reserve once he clears waivers.

"Had a few injuries to analyze today," head coach Mike Tomlin said after practice on Wednesday. "David Perales got a knee injury that's being evaluated. Kyron Johnson had a hamstring get a little tight. We had to pull him out."

The Steelers are back at practice on Thursday but are not sporting pads after having done so the past two days. They will likely strap the pads on again on Friday during the team's "Friday Night Lights" practice.
