After a light Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers decided to end Week 2 of training camp with a physical practice.

Fully padded and with multiple drills aimed towards intensity, the players will need that off day on Monday.

One man who's probably tired of his days off or limited activity is QB Russell Wilson, but that changed slightly on Sunday.

    Russell Wilson Throws in Team

It took 10 days, but QB Russell Wilson finally made his fist throw during 11on11 on Sunday. Per multiple reports, Wilson's first rep was a handoff like all the others had been to this point, but it looked as if he audibled out of his second rep and decided to rise up and throw a five-yard curl to WR Duece Watts.

Wilson ran with the third string during the initial team period, and his two reps and potential audible leave you wondering just how much autonomy he has, or if Pittsburgh told him it was ok.

Either way, it sets up Tuesday to be interesting for the QB battle.

QB Justin Fields Gets Praised by Coach Tomlin

Justin Fields capped off a stellar week on Sunday with plenty of tight-window throws, and he showed poise, patience, and an ability to throw with pressure in his face. So much so that per Christopher Carter of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette , Mike Tomlin yelled out: "That's pro shi* right there," after a stellar set of throws during an 11on11 period.

The last few days saw him form bonds with the Steelers' top two wideouts, and that didn't change on Sunday when Fields hooked up with George Pickens and Van Jefferson multiple times.

Fields is undeniably better than he was this time last week, where after Sunday, Russell Wilson was declared a winner without doing much of anything.

Those struggles have seemingly escaped the 25-year-old passer, as ever since the pads came on he's been lights out.

If that continues, Pittsburgh's QB decision is going to be a tough one.

Sunday's Standout: Rookie C Zach Fraizer

Zach Frazier was quiet earlier in the week when the pads came on, but he has gotten better with every practice, and that climaxed this week on Sunday. Per multiple reports, Pittsburgh had the rookie center pulling and getting out on screens, showing how fierce and feisty he is in open space.

Beyond that, he was also showing positive development in handling power in 1v1's, a good sign as he sets out to earn the starting role.

    Injuries

    • WR Roman Wilson spotted at practice without a boot, only an ankle wrap (Alan Saunders on X)
    • LB Kyron Johnson returns after missing time with hamstring (Alex Kozora on X)
    • LG Isaac Seumalo, EDGE T.J. Watt, and DL Cam Heyward all return after veteran rest days (Alex Kozora on X)
    • TE Rodney Williams doesn’t practice one day after returning from a shoulder injury (Alex Kozora on X)
    • LB Patrick Queen was not dressed (Alex Kozora on X)
    • LB Jeremiah Moon was also not dressed (Alex Kozora on X)
    • DL Dean Lowry was seen jogging as he aims to return from the PUP list. Was also seen working on the bag (Alex Kozora on X)
    • RB-Returner Cordarrelle Patterson was also jogging as he works back from a hamstring that placed him on the NFI list, and did some change of direction drills (Alex Kozora on X)
    • CB Grayland Arnold returned (Alan Saunders on X)

Queen, who has been flying around all camp and was the prize acquisition of the offseason, turned his ankle during Friday night's practice at the very end and was off Saturday and Sunday.

Ahead of Monday's off day, Pittsburgh could just be playing it safe with Queen, who said he was fine after the injury occurred.

Some positive news on another ankle injury belongs to Roman Wilson. After seeing him placed in a walking boot , the rookie is already progressing by taking it off in less than a week.

It will probably be sometime before he returns, but it's a good sign for the rook and the Steelers WR corps.
