Police were investigating separate shootings that wounded four people in Atlantic City and Pleasantville overnight.

Pleasantville police were called to Chestnut and Edgewater avenues at 10:09 p.m. Thursday for the report of a shooting, Capt. Angelo Maldonado said.

A 21-year-old man from Estelle Manor and a 17-year-old from Pleasantville were struck, Maldonado said. Several vehicles were also hit by gunfire.

The unnamed victims were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus before police arrived.

Atlantic City police were called to the 1000 block of Sewell Avenue just before 10 p.m. for a large fight, Capt. Kevin Fair said.

Arriving officers were alerted to a 24-year-old New York man who had been shot.

The officers treated him for his injuries and he was then taken to the City Campus, Fair said.

Just before 1 a.m. Friday, patrol officers found a 53-year-old Atlantic City man suffering from a gunshot wound in the first block of South Florida Avenue.

Officers gave him medical aid and he was then taken to the hospital.
