    AMERICAN LEGION ROUNDUP: Pocatello Post 4 Rebels A drop doubleheader to Rigby Mustangs 16U team

    Cash Williams and Mason Andersen had two hits apiece, as the Pocatello Post 4 Rebels A team was overwhelmed in a 21-0, 14-10 doubleheader loss Monday.

    The Rebels (5-23-1) only totaled eight hits between the two games with Fabian Avalos providing the only hit in the opener.

    MALAD’S POST 65 DRAGONS A1 17U SWEEP SODA SPRINGS ALBCarter Carey racked up five hits, including a double, for a pair of RBIs, as the Dragons (15-11) won 12-2, 15-10 to walk away with a doubleheader Monday.

    Kurt Ward, Josh Pickett and Brady Showell all added three hits apiece for Malad, which totaled 23 hits between the two games. Ward also picked up the win on the hill in the opener by giving up just three hits and fanning seven batters.

    Kyen Kirby and Wyatt Collins had three hits apiece for Soda Springs (0-14), which has still yet to win a game this season. Kirby also drove in four runs.

    POCATELLO POST 4 RUNNIN’ REBELS AA TEAM FINISHES UNBEATEN AT ELKOThe Runnin Rebels (18-7) capped their weekend by finishing unbeaten at the Elko Basque Tournament in Nevada.

    They went a perfect 4-0 at the four-day tournament with a 15-5 win over the Outlaws 18U team Sunday. Elias Blackhawk and Gunner Wilhelm recorded three hits apiece. Blackhawk also drove in three runs.

    Kache Stucki had a game-high four RBIs, while also earning the win on the hill. He gave up just four hits and fanned seven batters.

    Pocatello doubled up the Phantom’s A 8-4 24 hours earlier on Saturday.

    Blackhawk led the way in that game too with three hits.

    But Wilhelm, Stucki and Garett Keller were right behind with two hits each. Both of Keller’s hits came on a double and a triple, while Wilhelm and Stucki each drove in a pair of runs.

    POST 4 RAZORBACKS A 5, LARAMIE RANGERS A 4

    CJ Short and Cody Smith combined to allow just four hits, as the Razorbacks (15-14) held on for a win at the Knight Invite Sunday.

    Gavin Flynn and Cooper Bowman tallied two hits apiece in the win. Caden Adams drove in a pair of runs for the Razorbacks, who scored what was the game winning run after Trace Looney stole home on a wild pitch.

    POCATELLO RAYS POST 4 DROP DOUBLEHEADER TO FILER

    Carson Branson had three hits, as the Rays ( 17-4) were swept for the first time all season in a 2-1, 10-6 doubleheader loss Saturday.

    Carson Allen, Ethan Kinney and Talyn Miller all drove in two runs in the losses.

    BEAR LAKE LEGION B SPLITS WITH RENEGADES POST 4

    Wyatt Stuecklen totaled five hits and three RBIs, as Bear Lake (2-4) won the opener 14-7 before dropping the nightcap 13-7 to split a doubleheader Saturday.

    Stuecklen also picked up the win on the bump with a two-hit, nine-strikeout performance in four innings of work.

    Dax Perkins and Jack Hulme added fours hits, including two doubles apiece. Hulme also drove in five runs.

    POST 4 RAZORBACKS A 6, JACKSON GIANTS AA 3

    The Razorbacks managed just five hits, but took advantage of eight walks and three errors in a win at the Knight Invite on Saturday.

    Daeton Poulson tallied a double and an RBI. Branson Shepherd, Cody Smith and Colter Wheatley all had a hit and drove in a run, too.
