    AMERICAN LEGION ROUNDUP: Pocatello Runnin’ Rebels go 1-1 on the day

    The Pocatello Post 4 Runnin’ Rebels AA team went 1-1 in its first games back in nearly a week Friday.

    It opened up with a 6-2 win over the Reno Athletics.

    Kache Stucki went a perfect 4-for-4 from the plate, including a double, and drove in a pair of runs. Colt Durham also had an impressive game with three hits.

    But the Rebels (19-8) followed it up with a 6-5 loss to the Twin Falls Cowboys AA team. They nearly came back from a 6-1 deficit with the bases loaded in the seventh. But Stucki grounded into a fielder’s choice to end the game.

    Gunner Wilhelm posted three hits and a pair of RBIs in the loss. Hudson John added two hits and a RBI.

    BLACKFOOT 4B POST 23 18U FALL TO MINICO STORM A IN DOUBLEHEADERMason Layton tallied three hits and a pair of RBIs, as Blackfoot (17-7) dropped a 15-6, 11-9 doubleheader to Minico Wednesday.

    Jason Williams added three RBIs, while Jake Vance chipped in with two himself.

    Koye Calzada was solid on the hill in the opener. He allowed just four hits and one earned run with seven strikeouts in that loss.

    POCATELLO POST 4 RAZORBACKS A ROLL IDAHO FALLS TITANS

    Jordan Wilde, Gavin Flynn and Cody Smith all combined for six hits as the Razorbacks rolled in a 22-1, 25-4 doubleheader sweep Wednesday.

    Wilde and Smith also drove in five runs apiece.

    Boston Sorenson added four RBIs on three hits.

    Tyler Adams and Colter Wheatley both had great outings in their wins on the hill. Adams threw six strikeouts and didn’t allow a hit in three innings of work during the opener. Wheatley then tossed a one-hitter with nine strikeouts.

    POCATELLO POST 4 REBELS A SPLIT AGAINST WOOD RIVER WRANGLERS LEGION A 18U

    Austin Andersen and Korbin Adams — Koon collected three hits each, as the Rebels (7-25-1) fell 5-2 in Game 1 before bouncing back for a 13-5 win in the nightcap to split a doubleheader Wednesday.

    Curtis Wood added a pair of hits and RBIs.

    Kurt Ward chalked up two hits and a pair of RBIs, as the Dragons (13-9) cruised to a 10-4, 12-1 doubleheader win Wednesday.

    Trisden Wall drove in three runs.

    Brady Showell put up a three-hit, zero-earned run and six-strikeout performance on the hill in the nightcap.

    Carter Blaisdell had four hits for the Dragons (4-8) in their pair of losses. Rydon Montgomery chipped in with three RBIs.

    POCATELLO POST 4 RAZORBACKS A SWEEP KIMBERLY

    Jaxton Humphries and Colter Wheatley totaled five hits apiece, as the Razorbacks took a 13-12, 9-2 doubleheader Tuesday.

    Wheatley drove in four runs, as well.

    CJ Short was right behind with four hits. He also had five RBIs, including the walk-off in the opener. Short smacked a walk-off single to right field.

    Boston Sorenson picked up the complete-game win in the nightcap. He gave up just six hits, one earned run and fanned five batters.

    Jonathan Adams logged four hits, including three alone in the nightcap, and a pair of RBIs, as the Rebels lost the opener 4-2 before coming back in Game 2 7-6 to split a doubleheader Tuesday.

    Max Liday chipped in with three hits, while Daycian Uribe was great on the mound even in a loss. He gave up just three hits, one earned run and threw seven strikeouts in the opener.
