Monroe County motorcyclist dead after crash with 18-wheeler on Route 22 in Bethlehem

A motorcycle accident on Route 22 in Bethlehem killed a Monroe County man.

According to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio, 29-year-old Robert Swain, of Coolbaugh Township, died from multiple traumatic injuries on Wednesday, Sept. 4. He collided with a tractor-trailer on his motorcycle, by mile marker 325.1 on westbound Route 22 at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Swain’s death was ruled an accident by Buglio.

Swain was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg after the crash.
