Free tickets available to Sound of Hope at Cinemark & The Ashland
Donors to Fostering Family Ministries more than 1,000 free flex movie tickets to distribute for the upcoming movie Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot. This movie will be played at all Angel Studios partnering theaters across the country. It will include Cinemark among other big name theater companies.
Shawshank anniversary celebration planned
Celebrities are expected to soon confirm whether they will be in Mansfield this in August for the 30th anniversary of The Shawshank Redemption. Every member of the movie’s cast and crew has been invited to return. The Shawshank Redemption 30th anniversary celebration will take place Aug. 9- 11 at the movie’s 15 filming sites throughout North Central Ohio. They’re known as the The Shawshank Trail. The complete list of Shawshank events that will take place this summer is still growing.
Wayne County Historical Society Summer Community Band jazzed for two performances
The Wayne County Historical Society Summer Community Band will perform two concerts in July, one in Wooster and one in Kidron. At 7 p.m. Thursday, July 11, the band will present a concert in downtown Wooster on North Market Street, weather permitting. Take lawn chairs. If there is inclement weather, the concert will be in St. Mary’s Church gymnasium.
