    Portland outdoor movie series offers free entertainment through summer

    PORTLAND, Ore. ( PORTLAND TRIBUNE ) — It’s summer outdoor movie time in the Portland area.

    Here’s a rundown:

    Oregon State Parks

    Free to attend. Movies show at dusk, Saturdays.

    June 29: “Return to Oz,” Rooster Rock State Park

    July 13: “Paranorman,” Milo McIver State Park

    July 20: “The Witches,” L.L. Stub Stewart State Park

    Aug. 3: “The Dark Crystal,” Champoeg State Park

    Portland Parks & Recreation

    Free to attend. All shows at 7:30 p.m.

    Friday, July 12: “Newsies,” Overlook Park

    Thursday, July 18: “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” Colonel Summers Park

    Friday, July 19: “Jazz on a Summer’s Day,” Fernhill Park

    Saturday, July 20: “Whale Rider,” Khunamokwst Park

    Thursday, July 25: “Little Mermaid,” Wilshire Park
