Montoya sentenced to life for double murder
A Poteet man accused of killing two Leming women in 2023 pled guilty to double homicide on Monday and accepted a plea deal of life in prison without the possibility of parole. Rosendo Jesus Montoya, 28, accepted the plea as District Judge Russell H. Wilson presided over the court at the Atascosa County Justice Center in Jourdanton. Montoya is a 2013 honor graduate of Poteet High School.
