The “Red, White and BBQ: Tastes of America Festival” is taking place from Aug. 9 through Sept. 2. UTSA’s Camp Durango brings joy and fun to research
JULY 23, 2024 — There are many ways to conduct academic research, but not many researchers find projects in the joy of a weeklong summer camp. Camp Durango is a summer day camp for children and youth with autism and for their siblings. The goal of the program is to have campers participate in research while they take part in fun camp activities.

San Antonio Police Seek Leads in Unsolved Homicide of Daniella Chavez, $5,000 Reward Offered for Information
The San Antonio Police Department, in collaboration with Crime Stoppers, is actively seeking information from the public in connection with the homicide of a 30-year-old woman, Daniella Chavez. Chavez went missing from her residence in the 2600 block of Northeast Loop 410, on March 30, 2016, and, her tragic fate was not discovered until over three years later. It was on September 11, 2019, when hikers stumbled upon her remains, hidden amongst the brush in a greenbelt area near the 4000 block of Swans Landing. The nature of her death has led investigators to suspect foul play.
