Momentum is building for the Brewhaus Townhomes project in Quincy, with some units set to be ready for occupancy by October. The city of Quincy is providing about $210,000 for water and sewer upgrades to this 34-unit property, with hopes of finishing the entire project by next summer. Currently, work is focused on interior construction at the Jersey and 8th Street locations. Additional buildings are planned for the south side of the property.

Quincy's Public Works Director, Jeffrey Conte, praised the project for its commitment to addressing housing needs in the city. He expressed hope that the city's part in the project will be completed by next week. Happel Realtors added that a minimum of six condos could be available for rent by October.

Each Brewhaus townhouse will feature 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a one-car garage, a laundry room, an office, a shared living space, and a private courtyard. Kyle Moore, the President of the Great River Economic Development Foundation (GREDF), mentioned at a recent Quincy City Council meeting that the project could help address the shortage of workforce housing in the area.
