Spirit Barn Dance on May 26

The annual Barn Dance of the Spirit Historical Society, Inc., is scheduled to run from 7 p.m. to midnight on Sunday, May 26 at the Darrel and Luann Lind Farm in the town of Spirit. The historical society plans the event as a fundraiser and Memorial Day weekend social.

Admission to the event is by free-will donation. The evening will include square dance caller Gary Edinger, and Karl Lind will be the DJ for the evening. Chances will be sold for new and crafted items with funds to complete interior work to the museum’s new machine shed. There will be an 8 p.m. flag raising followed by free refreshments.

The Lind Farm is located approximately 3/4 of a mile north of County Road YY, or 2 1/4 miles south of State Highway 86 at N1169 German Settlement Road. For more information, visit spirithistoricalsociety.org or the Facebook page.
