Price City and the Carbon Corridor Host First Ever CITO Event
Carbon Corridor teamed up with Price City to host their first ever Cache In Trash Out (CITO) event. This CITO event took place July 13 at the Price River Walking Trail. CITO is a volunteer event for fellow cachers to join together to help clean up parts of their community.

On March 8, 1924, the Castle Gate mine suffered a series of three major explosions that occurred with enough force to send minecarts, telephone poles and other objects flying. These objects were not the only things rocked by the blast however, as all 171 men working in the mine were killed by the explosions and resulting catastrophic cave-in, rocking the Castle Valley area for years to come.

Helper City Council Discusses Blackhawk Annexation
On July 11, Helper City conducted its city council meeting with all council members in attendance, other than Councilman Bob Olson, who had been previously excused. The council did not have very many items to go over; however, during public comment, Pam’s RV Park Owner Harry Reddington wanted to address a few concerns with council regarding the recent construction that had been done. Reddington discussed some of the short comings from the engineer who was contracted. Reddington expressed that there were a few areas that they did not complete in which he had to go tell them to come back and fix it.
