Car Crashes Into Plainview Dance Studio Lobby, Injuring 3

PLAINVIEW, N.Y. - Three people were hurt after a car smashed into the front lobby of a dance studio on Central Park Road early Thursday evening.

Nassau County Police say that at 4:55 PM on Thursday, a black sedan smashed through the glass windows of the Strut Your Stuff Dance Studio located at 139 Central Park Road while students and parents were inside.

Officials say that those students participating in dance lessons were in the back of the building - just feet away - when the car came crashing through the storefront, scattering broken glass and debris everywhere. Video from the scene only minutes after the collision shows the car sitting halfway inside the studio lobby surrounded by piles of shattered glass.

According to police, while no dance students sustained injuries, three adults suffered minor cuts and were subsequently transported to local hospitals for further medical attention.

Following the crash, the driver of the sedan was transported to a local area hospital.

"We are extremely blessed. Everyone is safe," said the owners of the dance studio in a post on their Instagram account.

Police are currently investigating what caused the vehicle's abrupt collision into the studio. Initial reports suggest that there is no criminality involved.
