    College of Charleston alerts campus following nearby armed robberies

    CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The College of Charleston issued an alert early Sunday morning, warning students about two suspects connected to armed robberies near campus.

    According to the alert, at around 1:10 a.m., two unknown male suspects, both armed with handguns, committed robberies at two separate locations between Pitt and Coming Streets. After the incidents, the suspects fled the area in a vehicle, heading east on Calhoun Street.

    The Charleston Police Department is investigating the robberies.

    The College of Charleston is urging anyone with information to contact 911 immediately.
