Evan: If Mets are winning, give me all the Grimace content you want

The Mets winning streak has reached six, and all of them have come since Grimace threw out the first pitch at Citi Field last week.

The Grimace craze has reached a fever pitch, with McDonalds even leaning into it on social media, and Evan says if it’s correlating with Mets victories, then bring on all the Grimace content possible.

“If you want to say it’s Grimace, it’s Grimace. I don’t care,” Evan said. “If Grimace is on the DVD when the Mets win a World Series, I’ll make love to Grimace! I don’t care! If it means the Mets are winning, give me Grimace.”

Evan says there are obviously baseball-related reasons for the Mets current surge, but heck, if fans want to have fun with it and point to a fast food restaurant mascot as the spark, then lean all the way in.

“I’ll wear a T-shirt with Grimace. I’ll wear boxers with Grimace,” Evan said. “If the Mets win a World Series, I’ll get a tattoo on my ass of Grimace.”
