WESTBROOK, Maine — Firefighters quickly responded to a fire that broke out on the second floor of a home on Webster Avenue Sunday evening. The fire, reported around 7:15 p.m., required the efforts of approximately 60 firefighters to bring it under control. Westbrook Fire Chief Steve Sloan stated that crews spent about 45 minutes battling the blaze, which fortunately resulted in no injuries or fatalities.

As firefighters worked to extinguish the flames, other personnel on the scene managed traffic near the intersection of Webster Avenue and Main Street, a busy area that posed additional challenges for the responders.
