LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Widespread showers still are still occasionally moving across SWLA, but rain totals are staying lower than during the week. Rain chances will be relaxing a little for some to finish the weekend thanks to an upper level trough of low pressure just starting to move out of our area, but widespread showers are still possible. This provides extra lift which makes it easier for clouds and rain to form. However, the southern influx of moisture from the breeze certainly isn’t going anywhere.
