RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two babies are dead in Raleigh County after overdosing; the mother was arrested and charged with child neglect, resulting in death.

On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the West Virginia State Police were called to a residence in Raleigh County because of two unresponsive minors.

Upon their arrival, it was discovered that another officer was already present at the scene, engaged in holding security because the two children had passed away and were not able to be revived. The children, both under the age of two, were found lying on the couch in the living room with foam coming out of their mouths. The mother relocated the children from the back bedroom to the living room.

The Bradley Volunteer Fire Department conducted a carbon monoxide check inside the house, which came back negative.

During the interview, the mother, Olivia Moore, mentioned that she was looking after the girls and that they appeared unusual but were still breathing. Further investigation into the matter led to the discovery of the children’s death certificates, which listed the cause of death as fentanyl, ethanol intoxication, a mix of carfentanil, Xlyazine, acetylfentanyl, lidocaine, quinine, and diphenhydramine.

On Tuesday, June 11, Moore was charged with two counts of child neglect resulting in death.

She is currently being held at the Southern Regional Jail on a $500,000 bond.
