    Here are 13 of the 4th of July fireworks events happening in the Triangle

    You'll have plenty of chances to catch fireworks for July 4th this year, with nearly every town in the Triangle offering a show, from Raleigh's big display in Dix Park to more intimate shows in the suburbs.

    Here are 13 fireworks shows that you can attend this week.


    July 2 shows

    Wendell Fireworks Show

    Wendell , one of Wake County's fastest growing towns, will host a fireworks event two nights before the holiday, and bring out more than a dozen food trucks as well as live music.

    Location: Wendell Community Park, 601 W. Third St. (Shuttle buses will be running from 108 E. 4th St.)

    Time: Gates will open at 6pm and fireworks are expected at 9pm.

    July 3 shows

    Apex's Fireworks Frenzy

    Apex's annual fireworks show will also feature activities for families and food trucks along Hunter Street near Hunter Street Park in downtown Apex.

    • Location: Hunter Street Park, 1250 Ambergate Station
    • Time: 5-10pm Fireworks expected at 9:30pm

    Garner's Independence Day Celebration

    Garner will host the N.C. Symphony and food vendors at Lake Benson Park before putting on its annual fireworks display.

    • Location: 921 Buffaloe Road
    • Time: Gates open at 5pm and fireworks are expected at 9:30pm

    Morrisville's Red, White & Boom

    Morrisville's celebration will begin the day before the holiday and include live music, carnival games and inflatables, food trucks and a fireworks show.

    Location: Cedar Fork District Park, 228 Aviation Parkway

    Time: 5pm to 9pm

    Wake Forest's Fireworks Spectacular

    Wake Forest will have celebrations on July 3 and 4, but fireworks will only happen on the 3rd. In addition to fireworks, there will be live music.

    • Location: Heritage High School, 1150 Forestville Road
    • Time: Gates open at 5:30pm and fireworks are expected at 9:30pm

    July 4 shows

    Brier Creek's Star Spangled Block Party

    Brier Creek will offer a fireworks alternative for those in the northwest Raleigh area, with an event at Brier Creek Commons that includes a DJ, games and face painting.

    • Location: 8181 Brier Creek Parkway
    • Time: Begins at 8pm with fireworks expected after 9pm

    Cary's Independence Day Celebration

    Cary's fireworks show will be at Koka Booth Amphitheatre and feature music from the North Carolina Symphony and activities for kids. General admission is free.

    • Location: 8003 Regency Parkway
    • Time: Gates open at 3:30pm and fireworks are expected at 9:25pm

    Chapel Hill's July 4th Celebration

    Chapel Hill will host its annual fireworks display at Southern Community Park, with ice cream and icees for sale at the show.

    • Location: 1000 Sumac Road, though the town is advising people to take a free shuttle from the Jackson Parking Deck at UNC Hospital.
    • Time: Frequent shuttles will go from 6pm to 8:45pm. Fireworks are expected to begin at 9pm.

    Clayton's Square to Square Independence Day Street Festival

    Clayton's 4th of July street festival will take over downtown with a bike parade, food trucks, a rock climbing wall, fireworks and other activities.

    • Location: 100 W. Main St.
    • Time: Begins at 5:30pm and fireworks will begin at sunset

    Durham's July 4 Celebration

    Durham's annual fireworks show will begin immediately after the end of the Durham Bulls game. Gates to the stadium open to the general public at the end of the seventh inning.

    • Location: Durham Bulls Athletic Park, 409 Blackwell St.
    • Time: The Bulls game begins at 6:35pm and fireworks are expected at 9:15pm

    Raleigh's July 4th Fireworks Celebration at Dix Park

    Raleigh's fireworks show , the largest display in the area, will take place in Dix Park's Big Field, where the city will also host live music, food trucks and family activities.

    • Location: Dix Park, 1030 Richardson Dr. (Free shuttles will also leave from Moore Square in downtown Raleigh.)
    • Time: 5:30-10pm. Fireworks expected at 9:30pm

    Rolesville's 4th Celebration

    The northern Wake County town will host a fireworks celebration with live music, food trucks, inflatables and yard games.

    • Location: Redford Place Park, 21 Redford Place Dr.
    • Time: Starting at 5pm, with fireworks starting at 9:15pm

    July 5 shows

    Holly Springs

    Holly Springs will put on its fireworks show the day after the holiday featuring live music and food trucks.

    • Location: Sugg Farm at Bass Lake Park, 2401 Grigsby Ave.
    • Time: 6-9:30pm. Fireworks are expected at 9:15pm
